Mission Statement

Protect the Girls was established in response to the 2021 U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, with a focus on supporting Afghan refugees—particularly pregnant and nursing women, as well as teenage girls—resettling in the United States through the Special Immigrant Visa program. Our mission is to provide these vulnerable groups with the resources they need to rebuild their lives after displacement.

In addition to our tailored care packages, we will petition and fight to urge U.S lawmakers as well as the International community and the United Nations to protect the education of girls and the civil liberties of women now under Taliban rule.
